Brewed to feature the new and rebellious hop variety of Zappa, Mortalis rolls these cones into a strong and hazy ale that's soothes the hop head appetite quite well.
The Zappa version of OldManBearMa hits the glass with a hazy golden hue before releasing an eggshell froth. As the curious scent of tropical fruit, citrus, spice and candied fruit lace the nose, the first sip leans in with a soft and creamy taste and texture of vanilla, cereal and soft cookie dough. As the hops abound, the uniqueness of the Zappa hops shines on the middle palate as a dried pineapple, lemon, grapefruit and under ripened orange lead a citrusy taste into a more tropical character of passionfruit, mango, kiwi and coconut. herbal, resinous and spicy in its bitterness, the ale finishes bittersweet with a hop leading edge.
Medium bodied and refreshing, the ale is off-clean and rounded with a smooth and spicy bitterness for a unique spin on the single hops hazy style.

Definitely a hazy IPA. Pours orange and you guessed it very hazy. Vivacious white head. Nose is very citrusy as is the taste. Decent bitterness across palate that stays around for quite a while. Well done

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow pour, lasting creamy layer of white foam. Citrusy aroma, all grapefruit. Taste brings a big zesty burst, grapefruit, juicy. Zesty bite stays throughout. Kind of a one trick pony, but it's a very good trick
