This base Imperial Stout has been aged 15 months in Stagg barrels. After aging, it was conditioned on the most toasted coconut we have used in a beer to create a rich and deliciously smooth flavor that fights for control of your soul. This beer is pitch black in color and like the Goddess of Night, when it has you there is no turning back!

Inky black poor at 56.5°; no ruby edges; lots of coconut Floaties; almost no head; no ring nor lace; oily coconut surface; no legs on swirl. Chocolate; bourbon; coconut. Dark chocolate; cocoa; sweet bourbon and toasted coconut; chocolate fudge finish. Thick fudgy feel; heavy body; light carbonation; mild warmth from ABV. Overall, sweet chocolate, but not cloying; thick feel, but not too syrupy; chocolate dominates; bourbon present and coconut, likely fading; a delicious pastry stout.

Thick, viscous pour with zero agitated carbonation as it's poured into the glass. An opaque, deep brown abyss with countless coconut particulates lazily floating on the surface.
Then nose is locked and loaded with coconut macaroons, toasted marshmallow, and Whoppers. Rich and sweet nose - pure pastry bliss.
The palate is a beautiful segue from decadence on the nose to a bit more of a barrel-influenced profile on the palate. While it leads with coconut cream, milk chocolate, and a hint of amaretto, there's a quick, warming transition to char, vanilla-soaked oak, and burnt caramel.
Fantastic viscosity - silky smooth, on the thicker side, and warming from start to finish. No lingering bitterness or distractions, just a beautifully balanced barrel-aged beast of a stout.

Sweet milk chocolate, prominent and creamy coconut, and a bourbon barrel boozy nose on this one! Taste follows with a viscous and decadent, milk chocolate covered coconut, and a subtle bourbon barrel finish. The barrel notes are light here, but the coconut and how it is integrated is the star here. Wow! Such a delicious dessert sipper!
