This Double IPA is part of our exploration series. Too often, we become complacent and forget to push the boundaries and search the unending hop combinations to find a stroke of genius. Time to get back to class! This version features Freestyle Nelson and Freestyle Nelson Subzero Hop Kief. Cheers!

Hazy yellowish orange. Big white wine hop aroma and flavor with citrusy and light dank notes. Nice balance with little to no bitterness. Medium bodied and fairly smooth.

Bought a single at Richmond’s , pours vivid orange golden with a layer of fluff that dissipated quickly. Aroma is scintillating grapefruit, white grape, orange, pineapple. Taste is white grape, sweet orange, getting pineapple delic, Feels soft,, great balance of sweet and smacky, hint of dank. Mortalis is fire!

Nightcap. Candied mangoes, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and grapefruit zest. Sweet & smooth, with a mildly bitter grassiness. Crazy approachable for the ABV.

On tap at The Richmond in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells super soft and nectar-like, with guava, white grape, passionfruit, grapefruit, and orange.
This has a distinct tropical intensity to it while remaining very soft, with a light dank bitterness on the back end. It’s so vibrant, aromatic and juicy – this is definitely one of the best entries in this series.
This is soft, creamy, and rich, but finishes light on the palate.
Mortalis continues to get better and better at making IPAs – I definitely love seeing it.
