This Double IPA starts with a blend of Citra and Simcoe hops in the whirlpool. The base then receives a significant addition of Citra, Simcoe, and EXP 2B / WCHB in the dry hop. Tropical pineapple is met with an explosion of citrus flavors and rounded out with a touch of melon and lime zest.

Hazy OJ with good carbonation. Big citrusy juicy hop aroma and flavor. Good balance with little to no bitterness. Medium bodied and creamy smooth.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy orange golden pour, dense, creamy white head, streaky lacing. New hop for me. Aroma is grapefruit pith and orange juice, zesty. Taste turns away from the citrus slightly, bringing in some earthy notes, but keeping enough of the citrusy zing to light up the palate. Reminds me a little of Idaho 7.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy orange creamsicle color with a frothy two finger head; excellent retention with a few shards
Smell: Piney aromatics with tropical tones of pineapple, lemon and lime
Taste: Tropical fruit flavors forward with pineapple and mango accented by lemon and lime; after the swallow, the piney tones take over and bring a nice bitterness to the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; somewhat creamy
Overall: A coast to coast concoction, starting out in New England and finishing up on the West Coast

Appearance: Pours a completely cloudy (5% clarity) medium orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.00)
Aroma: Aromas of orange, lemon, pineapple, pine.
Flavor: Flavor of orange, pineapple, melon, mango with a bright pine bitterness off the end.
Feel: Medium body, appropriate carbonation, finish leans better.
Compared to EQ Astral Projections into Multiple Galaxies 2/26: Milder head, milder aromas. More lemon, pine. Less mango skins and rainbow sherbert. More bitter.
to Mortalis Yakima Blend 2/26: Larger head. Milder aromas. Similar, but milder flavors.
Overall: Oldmanbearma. Some EXP2B west-coast hops here added to a Citra base for a nice balance of lemon, pineapple, mango with a bright piney bitterness. Great IPA with a balance of NEIPA and WCIPA but knowing full honestly what it is and doesn't call itself a WCIPA. Great stuff and nice twist of piney bitterness. (Rating: 4.10)
