This double IPA is smooth and packed with tropical scents from a big dry hop. Lupomax Mosaic, Citra, and Belma work together to create resinous citrus, pineapple, and passion fruit.

Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (10% clarity) light golden to yellow color with a white head. SRM of 6-7. (4.00)
Aroma: Aromas of orange, pineapple, passionfruit, tropical melon mango. (4.25)
Flavor: Flavors of orange, grapefruit, smooth, pineapple, with tropical melon and mango underneath. Juicy and zesty. (4.00)
Feel: Medium body, appropriate, carbonation, finishes, juicy badly, sweet but zesty and clean. (4.00)
Compared to Mortalis Ceres 5/26: Pours lighter, stronger aromas. Less resinous stonefruit. More grapefruit, mango, pineapple. Winner: Phaethon
Compared to Mortalis Strange Philosophies 113 5/26: Pours similar, stronger aromas. Less zesty vinous and floral citrus. More sweet grape juice. Winner: Strange Philosophies
Overall: Mortalis with a new release Phaethon. Phaethon, the son of the Sun god Helios. Tried to run his chariot through the skies and burned himself and the world. Beautiful pour, strong aromas upfront. Citra and Mosaic base with flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, mango and some tropical strawberry/mango from the Belma. Needless to say, another top shelf IPA. They make it look easy. (Rating: 4.11)
