A few 16 oz cans sent by my friend Donald, "said you gotta try this!" poured into Odell Snifter.
Deep dark rich black with a khaki/brown head of 2 fingers. Nice sticky lacing as it recedes to 1 finger.
Aroma is vibrant with vanilla pods and lactose sweetness, and you can smell a little bit of chocolate and roast malts as well. Maybe slight ash.
Flavor is rich coffee roast with hints of vanilla and milk sugars. Some bitter bakers cocoa comes in at the back palate, as well as subtle jabs of bitter dark chocolate.
Feel is absolutely on point for a milk stout of this stature. Not too thick, not too thin, good slickness, creamy mouthfeel, roasty finish, perfect carbonation. Very nicely brewed beer.
Overall a very enjoyable milk stout that won't tear the house down (or your sobriety) but will please you immensely when you're in the mood for a sub-6% milk stout. Mooooo

Very light milk stout. Pours black. Aroma is light coffee. Taste is light, a little sweet, subtle hints of vanilla. Feel is light and smooth with light carbonation. Overall, fine, but nothing outstanding.

The Vanilla Bean Milk Stout pours a dark brown, nearly motor oil black, once in the glass. It's got a 1-finger head of tan lacing that dissipates, leaving behind thin veil of lacing. The smell is a bit thin, but coffee forward with some dark chocolate and a hint of sweetness. The taste, as expected is coffee forward with the dark chocolate and the vanilla bean as it warms. It's smooth on the palette with a nice viscosity.
