These Lo-Nos are getting better and better. I drank Best Amber with a Stilton on the side and I almost could have been in a British pub. Of the handful of non-pale Lo-Nos that I've reviewed, this may be the closest to its classic style.
Best has a decent foam that sticks around and is a pretty enough amber. Smells are malty and biscuity and earthy, in that order. Tastes bring on the nuts initially and the hops by mid-palate... but they both stay in the background leaving the rich malt blend to do most the work. Medium-mouthed in the no-Lo style.
Nirvana gets excellent Overall Hugs for being England's first No-Lo specialist; starting some ten years ago. Wanting to please a recent teetotaller in the family, the daughter started the brewery so that others also who shouldn't drink alcohol could at least enjoy a beer. That attitude deserves Hugs. Cheers !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
