from a technical standpoint this is far and away the best beer we had in here. they use quite a lot of coffee in this big stout, enough of it to come through even before the dark grains in aroma and in flavor, chocolatey and deeply roasted but not real bitter, just balanced and rounded, full bodied for sure, and not overly complex, but i sort of prefer that here, it lets the coffee really shine. faint smoke here too which is cool, a little sweetness in the center of it, and some charry depth, heavy and wintery, smooth going down, and with a soft lingering coffee warmth at the end. surprisingly not boozy at all for how strong it is, not even a little hot, nicely done. i feel like the beer list in here is really ambitious but not all the beer is great, like they got a little too big for their britches here in the early going, but this beer is awesome by any standard, definitely the best one they have going right now, and i had to cut myself off before i had way too much of it. if you like coffee beer, this one is a must try.
