16 oz can in a Tervis at the 2018 Soulshine Farm Festival.
Cloudy, apricot colored body with a weak head.
I like all of the components of this beer but the combination of flavors does not work well, and the aroma is even worse.

A thanks to the captain of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a cloudy, bright orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of carrots, some apples. Taste is apples, sweet, light carrots. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth with soda like carbonation and overall is a pretty good beer.

This is what it has devolved into - I was in the Take-Away section of one of my locals when I spied this beer (?) in CANs. When I brought it up to the counter, a former student (!) working the register squealed in delight! "Oh, Mr. Chandler, we all know how much you like CANned beers & we were hoping that you'd stop in!" 8=O I guess that some of them were paying attention ...
From the CAN: "Root Sellers' Formidable Fermentables"; "Brewed from Carrot and Apple Juices"; "While exploring Bavaria and Northern Germany, Root Sellers founders Kit and Greg were inspired by a traditional German dish called Himmel & Erde (Heaven & Earth) served with apples from heaven and potatoes from the earth. With an idea and a craving for something new, the two set out to brew a product truly in a class of its own."
I Crack!ed the vent open & began a slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. I was slightly put off by its unexpected color & it had an inherent cloudiness that simply refused to clarify, so I dumped the remainder directly into the glass. An in-glass swirl raised a brief finger of fizzy, foamy, orangish head that quickly dissipated like pop. Color was a cloudy. deep, nearly neon, Orange (SRM = N/ A). Wow! Nose had an odd, earthy sweetness, kind of like cider, but not precisely. Hmm. Mouthfeel was thin & watery. The taste was primarily apple, like cider, and very sweet with a light, earthy tartness. Wow, was this an oddball! That is not to say that it was bad, per se, just that it was very fortunate that it is listed as a "Fruit/Vegetable Beer" in that such is just what it tasted like - fruit & vegetable. Finish was semi-sweet, but refreshing. That said, one would be plenty. It was more of a novelty than anything else.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Lagunitas mason glass
L: Almost a fluoroscent orange color... clear. Minimal head and no significant lacing.
S: Sweet and fruity... apple juice mostly.
T/F: Odd flavored... sweet and crisp. Definite apple-cider presence with carrot juice in the background. Noticeable, especially if you look for it. Not much in the way of 'beer' here. No hop or grain presence... drinks more like a cider. Thin in body... fizzy/carbonated.
O: Not horrible for what it is I guess (although my wife... a cider enthusiast... hated it). It's not beer... more of a carrot juice hard apple cider. Odd and I wouldn't have one again, but not the worst thing I've tried.
