Dark in color. Tasting notes of dark chocolate, black cherry and a smooth hoppy aroma. Very nice mouth feel. Has a perfect carbonation. No date on the label, the bartender at the brewery told me it was 2020. This could be the baseline standard for Russian Imperial Stouts.

Tasty BA (barrel age) RIS (russian imperial stout) malty and strong bourbon notes. Awesome stout.

22oz bomber (no date or vintage) poured into a 16oz Crosstown Brewing snifter. Body is pitch black with a tightly packed mocha colored head that quickly dissipated to a thin shear covering the top of the beer. Glass lacing is spotty. Aroma is malty with notes of chocolate, coffee, and dark fruits. There’s a very faint presence of bourbon barrel and booziness. The flavor follows the nose with roasted coffee being the dominant taste. The mouthfeel is thin and watery, but finishing rather fluffy. Overall it’s a decent BBA RIS. Could be better with a heftier body, and more time spent in the Barrel. Kudos for an awesome looking label.
