HIgh carbonation kind of sublimates the the smell and taste, in my opinion. I like that it is JUST sweet enough but not cloying. This is a good one, and is definitely an all day beer if you are so inclined. I will return to this one, as it is easily obtainable in my area, whereas Founders and similar stouts are not.

I was excited to see this back on the shelves. I do enjoy a nice stout that isn't super sweet. It actually does taste kinda like a chocolate donut!

Very dark blackish brown color with little cap or lacing.
Yes, it smells like a chocolate donut with a touch of cinnamon flavored coffee.
It also tastes like a chocolate donut, or at least insofar as I can recall because donuts are no longer a part of my dietary plan, To be more precise it tastes like a chocolate donut that's been dipped in a good grade of coffee. Rather sweet but not cloyingly so, the flavors are simple yet well combined.
Medium texture with enough carbonation to notice.
I wouldn't give any form of alcohol to a child but I'm pretty sure my 5 year old grandson would like this.
