Canned 04/11/24
Appearance - Pours hazy and yellow-orange in color with a white, fluffy near two-finger width head. Fair retention before dying down to a spotty, broken surface with a tin ring around the edge of the glass. Fair lacing, with some patches, broken lines and some spotting.
Smell - Bright citrus and tropical aroma, with a bit of hop astringency.
Taste - Interesting hop profile, with fruity notes of ripe tangerine, grapefruit, white grape, pineapple and papaya, while a hint of dank rides beneath. Sweet bready malt undertone. Finish adds a noticeable amount of hop burn.
Mouthfeel - Medium-to-full in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Definitely a bit of chew in the texture,
Overall - A month after canning and the hop burn is still prevalent. Those who find that unpalatable may want to sit on this for another 3-6 weeks. That said, there is quite a unique flavor profile going on here. If not for the hop burn this would have gotten a much better mark in taste.
