This is a fantastic beer. Dark and malty but lighter than a porter, it tastes as if the smoke had been removed from a rauchbier. Consistent light carbonation and comfortable feel. Surprising to be able to get a beer like this in the Bay Area

I'm nominating this fabulous employee recipe for the Employee Beer Recipe Hall of Fame. It is a crushable, fun, malty treat. My buddy just had me try it with See's chocolate and it's a match. But it pairs up with savory fare as well.
I definitely think this recipe should be a recurring seasonal. We'll have it on hand at Hopulent as long as it's available.
