Rare review where I'm writing up the review the same week I had the beer. Miracles do happen, occassionally.
Pours a clear golden color, 1/2" white head. Pretty good clarity. The aroma had that light white wine aspect to it, upside a bright bready barley smell. Pretty good.
Taste I did prefer more than your average helles. In my less well rounded years, I would kind of meh helles, but in my old age, bring it on. Even better, this didn't go hop heavy, it just focused on one whose characteristics are very fitting for what we have going on here. Bits of white grape, lemongrass, wrapped in a light but flavorful body somewhere in between helles and pilsner. So I've had their hoppy beers, very good, and so is this. This is a good brewery methinks. This beer was utterly crushable on a Sunday afternoon.
You don't always have to have grapes or spontaneous fermentation or whatnot to do a beer/wine hybrid. This brought those light elements simply via the hop selection, and this hop works better in a lager than it does an ale I'm thinking. Well done.

Cloudy bright yellow body with a finger of eggshell white foam, visible carbonation. Smell has strong lemon and white grape accents to the lager malts and yeast. Taste is much the same, pale grass on the finish, pale yet clean on the palate. Feel is pale yet bright, higher carbonation and crisp, lighter body leads to high drinkability. Nice hopped helles for a warm spring day

l: A perfect golden straw great carbonation and ample head. poured into Pilsner glass
s: a lot of depth. grass and straw
t: after taste of sweet straw. like very smooth
m: nice and full while still drinkable
o: hard to beat for style for a non-German brewery. All the beers from this Are great and I have the advantage of getting fresh cans delivered weekly at my corner store
