Single can purchase poured into an old Guinness pint glass with the Villain Marty Scurl microbrawler guarding the whole process. Good golden clarity liquid with about 3/5" white head on top.
The aroma is pushed primarily by Mosaic hops I have surmised. Berries, weed, guava, grapefruit. That's what I smell. The taste is a light barley bodied ipa, with more grapefruit, lemongrass and aspirin bitterness than expected, I'm guessing that's the Comet hops mostly in the mouthfeel. Golden is a fitting descriptor here, its a bright, light, 'golden' if you will feeling beer.
Its light but it doesn't ascend to the crisp backend others might have came to in the west coast ipa subgenre. The entire undercurrent is a partial throwback to the pine and rind C hop era, but without the heftier body and resin-o-matic stickiness. I wouldn't mind finding this beer again, hopefully on this side of the state line for once.

Can pour - crystal clear golden straw color, thick foamy white head, scattered lacing. Nose is mildly danky. Taste follows more or less and is very mild. This one is a great warm weather quaffer with a slightly dryish finish.
