Poured into a narrow tulip pint glass: color is gold, murky/hazy, head is brighter white, head presents 1 finger thick and dissipates to solid top with some decent lacing.

Smell is mixed fruit, heavy tropical, moderate orange and grapefruit pith, some malt sweetness.

Taste is more with mixed fruit, stronger tropical, orange and then greapfruit pith, pine and herbal notes mix with the sweetness and oat at the end; ABV is noticeable and even some booziness and slightly cloying sweetness.

Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate/strong sweetness, low/moderate bitterness, a bit of lingering cloying sweetness too.

Overall a showing than some of the other recent HIPAs/HDIPAs with a bit more aroma and bitterness but the sweetness creeps in.

A fingers worth of lush pure white froth…. Good retention…. Tons of lacing cling to the sides of the glass…. Color is a vibrant hazed medium gold…. Strong oat base sits beneath and intriguing mix of hops…. Palate is a carbon copy of the nose…. Velvety medium mouth fee with subtle carbonation…. Outstanding and well rounded beer…

This is what you want to see when decanting a pint can into a clear Imperial pint glass. The orange-amber color isn't extraordinary, although nice. The plus is a negative, there's no huge starchy white head. There is a modest off-white head that begins sticking to the glass immediately. Sediment at pour's end was also nice to see. This is another opaque one. The aroma gives light conflicting hints of pine and juicy sweetness, so it's now up to the taste buds. Its certainly not a juicy NEIPA, as there's very little fruit comparisons to be made. Neither is it piney, nor resinous, it drinks dryly and cleanly. The malt is just enough to provide a decent body, but no more. This can't be described as rich or smooth, but that doesn’t make it bad. This one will be best appreciated by those that like a mildly bittered, yet hoppy enough, less sweet and high octane brew, that delivers a drier version of a NEIPA. This is very, very good and should be exhibit "A" for all to comprehend why oats in the wort of a Double IPA work and wheat doesn't

Undated (WTF) can into pint glass. Pours a murky medium orange with a huge, persistent, blocky off-white head. Good lacing. Initial impression is juicy orange, pineapple, sweet grapefruit, mango, and a sweetening dose of malt. Mouthfeel is thick, soft, and juicy. Finish fades to a slight pine bitterness. Overall, a really fine NEIPA. Considering that Pennsylvania has 121 state parks, I'm hoping that New Trail keeps this series going for every one of them!

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazed bright golden pour with massive fluffy white head. Lasts awhile.. great lacing.

S: Orange, mango, and grapefruit. Loads of fruit.

T.F: Semi-sweet up front. Tons of fruit... mango, tangerine, lime, and grapefruit. Honey and a little spice... dank. Creamy mouthfeel. Smooth... medium bodied. More fruit/citrus to finish.

O: Another outstanding hazy DIPA from New Trail and I love the State Park theme as well.

Milky pale orange in color. Poured with a short, white foam with medium low retention. Sweet fruity aromas, melon, light apricot, and red berries with a light malty aroma. Medium bodied with a lush, creamy feel despite the rather thin, watery feel at the finish. Light carbonation with undeniable boozy warmth that turned a little prickly near the end. Malty and fruity up front followed by light citrus notes and medium hop bitterness. Fruity melon, light pine hop bitterness persist to the end with an expanding boozy presence. Finished semi-dryly with light citrus fruit notes, mellow piney bitterness and booze. Good fruity flavors and hop character that is well balanced by lightly assertive bitterness and booziness. Alcohol presence was nice but seemed to overwhelm the flavors a bit.

Thanks to Knapp85 for sharing this can.

A - Opaque medium golden orange color with thin dense white lacing.

S - Spicy fruit aroma permeates the nose with some sweet pithiness.

T - Spicy fruit rind with some pepper notes, no distinct flavor is really surfacing

M - Big medium to light heavy body. Dry in the middle of the tongue.

O - Solid. I can't peg the flavors (which is unusual), but it works.
