Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is hazy straw, more gold at the thick part, head is off white with fine hours, head presents 2 fingers thick and dissipates to thin top with lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is very subuded - eeking out some light candied fruit, orange, tropicals, candied sugar, with some light malt and biscuit. Hops are limited in aromatics even with warmth and agitation.
Taste is also subdued - light candied fruit, orange, citrus pith, mixed tropicals, light malt and biscuit, maybe some honey sweetness, ABV is hidden well but the flavor is not emphatic.
Mouthfeel is very low carbonation, moderate/strong sweetness, low bitterness, drying alcohol; an overall full/thick feeling brew due to the wheat/oat content, this seems to really mask the booziness and even dampens the hop character/bitterness.
Overall a candied IPA - its not really sweet but I feel the ABV is countering the sweetness or vice/versa; malt is full/thick but not overly sweet and the hops are 'hazy' ipa in blend but not that full in aroma/flavor.

Undated (WTF) can into pint glass. Pours a very hazy gold with a brief off-white head. Good lacing. Initial impression is pineapple, mango, pink grapefruit, and a hint of pine. Mouthfeel is soft and smooth. Finish is somewhat sweet, but not cloyingly so. Overall, another very enjoyable NEIPA from New Trail.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Hazed golden pour with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Great retention/lacing.
S: Citrus... grapefruit and juice.
T.F: Malts and grains up front. Grapefruit and tangerine hops. Lighter tropical fruit... papaya and mango... dank. Modest bitterness. Sticky on the tongue and well carbonated. Medium to light bodied.
O: An average NEIPA. Decent flavor and drinkability. Note elite but one I'd definitely have again.

16 oz can poured into a Pilsner glass.
Appearance
Hazed-out, opaque blonde. 1 finger of creamy white head.
Nose
Candied orange, lemonade, peach, passion fruit, mango, papaya, and dank.
Taste
Firm caramel maltiness with touches of toasted biscuit. Honeydew melon, mango chunks, peach skin, and candied orange. Hints of blueberry lemonade, papaya, and passion fruit. Finishes resinous and bitter with pine and earth.
Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, silky, smooth, crisp, juicy, and moderately bitter.
Overall
I've missed that firm caramel maltiness this provides that most of today's IPAs have forgotten. Great balance!
