Brewed in collaboration with Foreign Objects Beer Company and Discord Beer Company.
Heliocentrism was the guiding force in our collaborative effort to ever better the bright flavors of this beer. Brewed with our avant-garde compatriots at Foreign Objects & Discord. Heliocentric, a Tart Ale brewed with luscious wheats, pugnacisouly conditioned on a profusion of blackberries. Expect a light tartness richly complimented by a deep berry backbone.

$1, yes $1, we'll drink anything, And you know what, pretty damn amazing, One KBS, one classic Sierra Northern Hemisphere, and then beer 3 on Sat night, an fruited, kettle sour. Untappd says, fruit beer, I would not like that. Here on BA, correctly listed as fruited kettle sour ... the review? ... finally.
Looks good, blackberry, like the native NJ blackberry I loved picking (and eating) as a kid ... Smells muted, but big taste, as advertised, blackberry, lemon. Mouthfeel off the charts, chewy, thick, by far the thickest, most chewy 5% ABV beer I've ever had. Smooth, all day, did I say thick, chewy? Would drink again.

I had SUCH a great day this past Sunday on/for New New Trail & Feeling Light-Hearted About Happoshu Beer Sunday (Week 784) that I have decided to just CANtinue where I left off, as opposed to waiting until this CANming Sunday. I am really digging New Trail's beers from Bill Town, aka Williamsport, PA. These guys seem to be onto something!

I was curious to see this one so I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. I was not disappointed, either, as it turned out to be a gorgeous Burgundy color (SRM = N/A) with just a faint haziness. The roiling, rolling finger of fizzy head resembled freshly-spun cotton CANdy. Nose smelled like Summer in the blackberry patch! My paternal grandmother grew strawberries & raspberries in her garden & when my paternal aunt invited me to her place to pick blackberries as a lad, I jumped at the ChANce. Little did I know that they have brambles & while I ate a fair share of blackberries, I was scratched to all get-out! I still have a small cringe when smelling blackberries, like RIGHT NOW! Eek. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not far removed from it, either. The taste was essence of blackberry - tart, fruity, kind of vinous. My maternal uncle made a blackberry wine that would give any Red a run for its money & this beer reminded me of that. While I am on this idea, if you are looking for something really tart & puckering, this is NOT it. Instead, it was much more akin to a blackberry wine, excepting its carbonation. The tartness was light & the fruitiness not at all sweet. I CAN see this with a salad. Finish was dry, slightly tart & really refreshing. Mmm. YMMV.

16 oz. can without a date.
Tart ale brewed with pomegranate and passion fruit.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch white head over a hazy golden body with some lacing. Nose of pomegranate, passion fruit, and slight citrus. Taste mirrors nose with a nice balance of sweet and sour. Good feel and overall, a nice little sour ale and would be a great summer quencher. Cheers!
