Extremely mediocre. The vanilla was pervasive which, I dont know, some may like but I was put off by. I should have tried the base first as I couldn't really taste a lot else in this other than vanilla and alcohol.

A - Dark brown pour with no lacing and no carbonation. Looks like the Dead Sea.
S - The aroma makes up for the looks: oak, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, all with a slight mineral character.
T - Chocolate, char, bourbon, oak, some alcohol presence, and vanilla. Nice balance throughout and ends on the balanced sweeter side with some lingering oak char.
M - Silky, thick, some stickiness on the lips, and NO carbonation. Some alcohol warming in the back of the throat.
O - Nice tasting beer but the lack of carbonation totally kills the overall score.

12 oz. draft poured dark as night with a 1/2 inch head...not overly aromatic, but notes of vanilla exist...the carbonation hit first followed by a nice vanilla roasty sweetness
