From Football suite fridge at seasons end.
LOOK: Pours an opaque thick orange and gold with a white head that has decent retention and lots of lace.
AROMA: Some sharp hops and soured citrus mash, that is not too pleasant.
TASTE: The flavor is a tired citrus, with no refreshing characteristics.
I have a tough time identifying this as a beer. For me this leaves a lot to be desired.

I guess I should had read the label better. This one has vanilla and berry lactose which is way outta my comfort zone. Sadly there is a beer of NYC that I do not like and this is it.

OK, New Trail rules with their yummy hazy Double IPAs. They make an amazing Imperial Stout. Not so good are the attempts at flavored brews. But, it's New Trail and after more than thirty reviews, what's one more. To start, a pint can got emptied into a clear Imperial pint glass. The color is weird, artificial, but most likely pure by its ingredients. Weird, in that it's the color of a strawberry smoothie, but dense in the middle of the glass and lighter at the fringes. The aroma has that welcoming character of a New Trail hazy, hops, malts and a little yeast. This one has almost no head, almost no lacing. It is, as advertised, a milkshake beer. The lactose, orange, raspberry and vanilla are all there, for those that like that sort of concoction. With all that going on, there's no trace of the alcohol. With all that going on, there's little trace that this is a beer. Sweet, fruity and with too much milk solids to be refreshing, this is for a select group of imbibers. The finish is way too sticky for an IPA label. This really isn't good enough to try once, just for the experience.

A slight fingers worth off-white. Olives froth... Color is a hazy peach with some pinkish undertones... Nose is mild raspberries and vanilla... Palate is consistent but with some additional notes of peach and grass... Medium bodied and sightly chewy, but still with some light refreshing notes... Not as sweet as expected (and that is a good thing)... An enjoyable light milkshake ipa that is worth checking out...

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Opaque raspberry pink pour. 1.5 fingers of foamy white head leave nice lacing.
S: Raspberry... sweet and tart mixed with citrus.
T.F: Tangy... sweet lactose/fruit and a bit of raspberry/citrus tart. Berry, orange, grapefruit, and a bit of pine. Medium bodied... creamy and sticky on the tongue. More sweet/tart at the finish with lingering raspberry.
O: Odd and delicious... and a dangerously drinkable milkshake IPA. Really had fun with this and New Trail has had some very solid offerings lately. They feel like a brewery that is really starting to hit their stride.
