A thanks to the incredible woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of mixed fruits. Taste is of oranges, berries, some limes, somewhat tart and a bit like sherbet. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazed golden pink pour with a finger of fizzy white head. Falls fast... decent lacing.

S: Tart... vaguely fruity. Not the fruit blast I was expecting, but picking up some of the pineapple and orange.

T.F: Tart with a drip of fruit. A little funk and modest acidity. Not much here. Certainly not much of a fruited sour. Vague pineapple and citrus. Not bad... just lacking. Medium to light bodied with solid carbonation.

O: Another disappointing 'Heliocentric' beer. This one sounded amazing and failed to deliver. It wasn't bad... there just wasn't much to it at all. There are WAY better fruited sours out there.

I have been relegated to drinking just one (1) beer a day due to my current USPS job, which requires that I work 6 days/week, 10.5 hours/day. I CAN do it & have adjusted nicely (sort of), but I find that it is usually one upon returning home & then off to bed to reChArNge for the next night. Yes, I am working the night shift, but I actually enjoy it! I CAN run a couple/few errands during the day, if I am so motivated & inclined + I really like many of my fellow night shifters where the day people are less so.

I was recently staring into the abysss, I mean, watching a little TV, when I happened to realize that I had a subsCANtial amount of New Trail CANs in abeyance & decided to revisit them for yet CANother brewery horizontal. I had an accident with my knapsack in bringing this one home in that the strap gave 'way, causing the CAN to be dented enough to cause a minor rupture, moving it to the head of the drinking line. 8=( This shall be the sixth of this newest set.

From the CAN: "A New Trail Brewing Co. Foreign Objects & Discord Collaboration"; "Tart Ale brewed with Pineapple, Raspberry, & Orange"; "Keep Cold[,] Drink Fresh"; "Brewed in collaboration with Foreign Objects and Discørd".

My Crack! was followed closely by a steady C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. It resulted in the formation of just under two fingers of foamy, soapy, rocky, pinkish head with moderate retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy orangish-pink (SRM = N/A), akin to Ocean Spray Pink Grapefruit Drink. Nose was like liquefied Froot Loops! 8=O I have not eaten them since I was a kid, but one whiff took me back to my childhood. Orange and raspberry dominated with a side of pineapple! Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was barely tart, but man, was it fruity! Orange CANtinued to be the dominant flavor throughout with raspberry and pineapple as guest-stars in its wake. It was highly evocative of sherbet & I do not even know if they still make Big Top Rainbow Sherbet, but that was the Weis Markets brand when I was a lad. I don't eat cold cereal or ice cream and sherbet any more, but this certainly took me on a trip down memory lane. Finish was semi-dry, not at all sweet, with a mild tartness that only helped to enhance the fruitiness throughout. Very nice! YMMV.
