Water Wings is an American Style Pilsner, brewed with Germanic malts. Leisurely hopped with German Spalt and American Cascade. Expect a fiercely crispness with light citrus and floral notes. Brewed for hot summer days siting around water.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Crystal clear light golden pour with big foamy white head. Great retention and lacing.
S: Crackery grains. Citrusy hops. Lemony and floral.
T.F: Follows the nose. Fresh malts/grains... lemon citrus hops. A bit of spice and floral character. Light bodied... super clean and crisp. Some sweetness up front quickly balanced by mild hop bitterness. Well carbonated.
O: A very flavorful pils, and at 4.4% this is a great easy drinker... good for pretty much any time.

Poured into grip shaped goblet: color is straw, super light, transparent, off white head with fine bubbles presents 1 finger thick and dissipates to a thin top with some light spots.
Smell is light, clean - with some warmth light malt character presents with some biscuit and light toast, light hop aroma with a light citrus and grass note.
Taste is quite good - clean malt, pleasant hop balance, some sweetness comes with some warmth, light bread/biscuit quality, maybe a hint of caramel, then hop notes of lemon, earth, and herbal quality.
Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated, moderate sweetness but not cloying, light bitterness competes with sweetness as it lingers.
Overall a very good pilsner with an American hop spin, light malt character and light but fresh hops.

I have been relegated to drinking just one (1) beer a day due to my current USPS job, which requires that I work 6 days/week, 10.5 hours/day. I CAN do it & have adjusted nicely (sort of), but I find that it is usually one upon returning home & then off to bed to reChArNge for the next night. Yes, I am working the night shift, but I actually enjoy it! I CAN run a couple/few errands during the day, if I am so motivated & inclined + I really like many of my fellow night shifters where the day people are less so.
I was recently staring into the abysss, I mean, watching a little TV, when I happened to realize that I had a subsCANtial amount of New Trail CANs in abeyance & decided to revisit them for yet CANother brewery horizontal. This shall be the eighth of this newest set.

I really love finding new Pilsners & when I do, I pull out one of the many Pilsner glasses that I have scored at Ollie's Discount Outlets for the ocCANsion, including this one. I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting aforementioned glass. If foamed nicely to form two-plus fingers of foamy, soapy, rocky, bone-white head with modest retention, quickly falling away to wisps. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Pale-Straw (SRM = 1 - 2). Nose had the crispness of lemon & biscuit, putting me in mind of Enrico's lemon biscotti from Pixburgh's Strip District. Mmm. That is the hallmark of the German-style of Pilsner & now, my mouth was watering in CANticipation. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, about on par for any Lager-type of beer. The taste had an added hoppy snap, definitely AmeriCAN hops, NOT Noble hops, giving it a layer of mintiness to acCANpony its lemon biscottiness. That puts it a tad out of spec for the style, but did not hinder my enjoyment of it. Finish was crisp & semi-dry & a real pleasure after a hard night's work at the local USPS. YMMV.
