16 ounce can poured into a Duvel tulip glass. No canning info found.

L---Nearly opaque gold/pink color with a nice white head that quickly faded to a cap and left ok lacing.

S---Lemon, but more Pledge than the fruit or lemonade. Some light berry in the background.

T---Taste isn't as weak as the nose. The strawberry shows up and as well as some light raspberry. Weak, but identifiable. Lemon is in the forefront and not as chemically as on the nose.

F---Light & fizzy. No real substance.

O---I've had a few from New Trail and I've mostly liked them. This one was the exception.

Heliocentric Berry Berry Lemonade from New Trails. Purchased 11/13/20 for $4 (Including tax) for 16 oz can ($ 0.25/oz) from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. Reviewed 12/18/20.
Can has neither ABV nor any date. In reefer at store and stored at home at 42 degrees. Served at 50 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 55.2 degrees.
Appearance – 3.5.
First pour – Cherry blossom pink, hazy.
Body – Cherry blossom pink, murky and opaque. When held to direct light, it lightens up a bit but is still opaque.
Head – Average (Maximum 1.8 cm, aggressive center pour), pinkish, medium density and fizzy, quickly gone, leaving neither crown nor cap. Second pour produces no head.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 3 – Initial burst of lemon-scented floor cleaner, no malt, no yeast. Lasts but weakens.
Flavor – 3 – Begins slightly tart and follows the nose. No malt, no yeast. No alcohol (5.5% ABV, according to BA, NOT marked on container) taste or aroma. No gastric warming occurs. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl.
Palate – 3 – Thin, watery, lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 2.75, after deducting 0.25 point for undated can and 0.25 point for secret ABV. I must say that the lemony floor cleaner aroma/flavor is an intriguing usage in a beer. Telling me “Drink Fresh!” is a ballsy move after being too lazy/cheap to date the can. One and forever done.

A thanks to the captain of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy violet color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of lemonade, some soapy notes. Taste is strong of lemons, light berries in the background, tart and dry. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

I have been relegated to drinking just one (1) beer a day due to my current USPS job, which requires that I work 6 days/week, 10.5 hours/day. I CAN do it & have adjusted nicely (sort of), but I find that it is usually one upon returning home & then off to bed to reChArNge for the next night. Yes, I am working the night shift, but I actually enjoy it! I CAN run a couple/few errands during the day, if I am so motivated & inclined + I really like many of my fellow night shifters where the day people are less so.

I was recently staring into the abysss, I mean, watching a little TV, when I happened to realize that I had a subsCANtial amount of New Trail CANs in abeyance & decided to revisit them for yet CANother brewery horizontal. This shall be the seventh of this newest set.

From the CAN: "A New Trail Brewing Co. Foreign Objects & Discord Collaboration"; "Tart Ale brewed with Strawberry, Raspberry, & Lemon"; "Keep Cold[,] Drink Fresh"; "Brewed in collaboration with Foreign Objects and Discørd".

My Crack! of the vent revealed yet CANother brimful craft CAN as it gave me a fingertip spritz. 8=O It also gave an indication of what was to follow so I went with a heavy-handed aggro C-Line Glug in response. I was met with a finger of rolling, roiling fizzy pink head that looked like freshly-spun cotton CANdy until it quickly faded into wisps. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Fuscia/Bubble Gum (SRM = N/A). 8=O Nose was really authentic with a real lemony quality as well as the unmistakable CANbination of (red) raspberry & strawberry. Mouthfeel was kind of thin & watery. The taste was really tart with a definite lemon flavor at the forefront, followed by the berries. The strawberry gave it a light sweetness while the raspberry added to the tartness. Its pleasant flavor, coupled with its relatively low ABV would make it a great thirst-quencher on a hot, humid Summer day outdoors. Finish was pleasantly dry & very refreshing. YMMV.
