Vista is a Hazy IPA brewed with oat malts, and honey malt. Hopped introspectively with Amarillo, Citra, & Mosaic. Expect a richly built malt backbone with balanced sweetness complemented by high citrus and pine aromatics. Take a step back and look at the view, we want to spend some time contemplating life’s big mystery.

I've had better New Trail NEIPAs but this one is stil pretty good. Clean tasting with typical hazy juiciness and aroma, perfect drink on an early fall day. As usual, the clean & fresh water taste comes through with a New Trail.

16oz can into a pint glass. No freshness dating.
Think orange body with a short lasting head. Specks of lacing. Mild hoppy aroma. On tasting, quite hoppy, some smoothness from the oat, thick and fruity, and a little warming in the throat. Not bad. A bit generic for the style.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a murky medium gold/honey color with a persistent off-white head. Good lacing. Initial impression is mildly hoppy, with pine, citrus and subdued orange. Mouthfeel is medium. Finish fades to a slightly sweet citrus. Overall, a tasty but not particularly remarkable hazy.

From an undated 16oz can but very fresh from the most recent release. From the NT Instagram post: “ Vista is a Hazy IPA brewed with oat malts and honey malt. Hopped introspectively with Amarillo, Citra, & Mosaic. Expect a richly built backbone with balanced sweetness complemented by tangerine flesh and rich berry characteristics. This serving via emptying the contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug. It was a comfortable pour. The ale is orange-amber in color and it's opaque. The off-white head is modest and enduring. The aroma has a fruity character, maybe it's the description on the can, but tangerine does come to mind. The taste is exactly what most NEIPA lovers are seeking. It's moderately, but not close to overly sweet, with a body that drinks smoothly, whilst softening a hpppy taste inclusion. Like the good ones, you can taste the hops, but without a harsh bite. The finish does bitter a little, but keeps a wet mouthfeel. Overall, this is quite the drinkable hazy and it has an ABV that makes having another less of a dilemma.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is copper, opaque, off white head, fine bubbles, solid 1/2 inch top of head that dissipates to a thin top with some lacing.
Smell is citrus rind and pith, lean towards grapefruit, light biscuit/toasted malt, other citrus juice notes and light tropical fruit.
Taste is similar with a pithy citrus flavor upfront, light grapefruit and tangerine are notable, light oat and biscuit, moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate sweetness, softening fullness, then slight finishing bitterness.
Overall a slightly sweeter hazy ipa, no real caramel like flavors but just a darker take with a bit fuller/smoother feel after some warmth.
