Pointing North is a Hazy Double IPA, brewed in collaboration with our dear friends at Levante Brewing Co. Brewed with a mixture of Oat Malts and Franco Belge Wheat. Directionally hopped with Citra, Strata, Centennial, & Chinook. Expect huge citrus notes backed with light tropicals and pine. Orient yourself and enjoy the direction.

Thick looking murky golden
With almost no head from pounder can, let’s give er a try. Potent pineapple and citrus up front with a bit of pine in there too on the nose. Tropical flavors with some sweetness followed by just a slight amount of bitterness, this IPA delivers. Only had one beer before this one and I can’t taste any heat on this 9 percenter. Good stuff.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours an opaquely murky pale amber (SRM 5-ish) with a durable off-white head. Initial impression is slightly sweet pineapple, orange, mango, and a hint of pine. Mouthfeel is thick but not sticky. Finish is sweet, fading to a dry bitterness that invites the next sip. Collabs are, in my experience, kind of hit-or-miss, but in this instance New Trail and Levante have definitely produced a hit!

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Hazed out golden pour. Big fluffy white head leaves great lacing
S: Citrus and fruit. Tangerine, mango, and peach.
T.F: Just like it smells. Big and fruity... tropical fruit juice with mango and citrus. Orange/tangerine, grapefruit rind, pineapple, and peach. A bit of pepper/pine, but mostly a juice bomb. Medium bodied and creamy mouthfeel. Smooth.... with more fruit juice to finish.
O: An outstanding collaboration brew between New Trail and Levante. Delicious beer.
