Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is copper, not transparent, light tan head with fine bubbles presents 1/2 inch thick, some lacing on the glass sides, head dissipates quickly to nearly nothing and ring along the glass.
Smell is sweet malt, graham cracker, and spice blend (cinnamon forward).
Taste is very similar with lightly sweet malt and fruity malt note, light graham cracker flavoring, spice mix with cinnamon forward and maybe some nutmeg and ginger following.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate spice level with light drying component.
Overall an interesting herbal winter style ale with light malt, moderate spice, moderate flavoring component, nice malt base.

A slight khaki colored froth fizzes away as quickly as it is poured... A slightly murky caramel tea color... Subtle nose highlighted by cinnamon and biscuit... More robust flavor than anticipated with fruity sweetness and light brown sugar notes in addition to the holiday spice... On the lighter side of medium bodied with light carbonation... Quite refreshing... A nice and welcome change of pace from New Trail...
