Two fingers worth of fluffy bone white colored froth... Excellent retention... Exceedingly pale lemony yellow color with a very minor haze... Nose is dominated by sweat cereal grains and a faint presence of lemon zest... Palate is as expected... Crisp and on the lighter side of medium bodied... Love the style... Love the interpretation... Would drink this with regularity ever summer if this was a regular part of the rotation... Much more than the sum of its parts...

What's this? A New Trail label with an ABV under 8%. This must be some kind of collaboration. Two cans were emptied into a clear glass liter mug, so now we can tell that the color is a very light amber, contrastingly bright, yet more opaque than translucent. So true of Lagers, there's less aroma than with most ales, but this has almost none at all. No biggie, there probably isn't a beer lover that drinks it just because it smells good. More importantly, this tastes good, not great, mind you. There's nothing outstanding to relate about this beer, but there's nothing wrong with it within the style. This is a nicely balanced lager, deliberately lightly malted and hopped. Given the choice, this certainly supercedes almost all adjunct lagers that will outsell this, by far.

Has an old world taste, crackers & bread. Not much aroma, lighter but milky, not crisp or partucularly thirst quenching.
Very plain, yet not often done style so worth the venture for one.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is straw, not clear, bright white head presents 1 finger thick and dissipates to thin top with some spots on the top and ring along the glass.
Smell is sweet toasted malt, crackers, bread, maybe some subtle citrus hops.
Taste is light malt, not overly sweet, crackers, bread, biscuit, citric hop character less noticeable.
Mouthfeel is lower carbonation than expected (noted in low can crack at the opening), light sweetness, then drying and light bitterness, crisp presence throughout the mouth.
Overall a nice lightly malted, subtle dry hopped keller pils; dry hopping adds a citric character to aroma and maybe some added dryness to the presence.

This is a nice departure from a traditional pils. Bone dry with a nice bready backbone. Some citrus, but more mineral-y aspirin bitterness. Another stellar PA pils.
