First Light is a Hazy DIPA, brewed with El Dorado and HBC 472. Expect deep Citrus pith, with overtones of sweet pineapple and rays of juicy stonefruit. All backed up by pillowy oats and wheats. Brewed for the Early Risers, or maybe the All-Nighters.

A thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits, citrus. Taste is pineapple, stone fruit, peaches, a touch of alcohol. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Undated (WTF) can into pint glass. Pours a murky dark gold with a brief off-white head. Great lacing. Initial impression is juicy pineapple, orange, and tropical fruits, with a moderate amount of malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is thick, juicy, and pillow-y. Alcohol is quite well hidden. Finish fades to a slightly dank sweetness. Overall, another thoroughly enjoyable DIPA from New Trail!

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Medium golden pour... completely hazed with big fluffy white head. Great retention/lacing.
S: Stone fruit, pineapple, and tropicals. Sweet and juicy.
T.F: Just like it smells. Loads of juice... tropical fruit, peach, mango, and pineapple. Orange/tangerine and a bit of rind. Light spice... some sweetness. Modest bitterness. Smooth and creamy. Medium bodied and sticky.
O: Another very well executed Hazy Double from New Trail. They've got the style down pat.
