Cook Forest State Park spans 8,500 acres of Clarion, Forest & Jefferson counties. It is home to 11 different old growth forest areas and includes some of the largest and oldest trees in the world, including the State Champion Eastern Hemlock Tree. One such area is The Forest Cathedral - A Nationally Registered Natural Landmark, pictured on the can. Pennsylvania's State Tree, The Eastern Hemlock, has flourished here for centuries but is being threatened by an invasive insect called The Hemlock Wooly Adelgid. The HWA has been spreading across the east coast and can have a devastating effect on our State Tree species. Fortunately, the team fighting back has effective tools at their disposal but they need our help to save these giants

Poured from a pounder can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Hazed medium golden pour. Opaque with big fluffy white head. Excellent lacing.
S: Tropical fruit and citrus.
T.F: Juicy... lots of pineapple, mango, and tangerine. Stone fruit and light grains/wheat. More juice... creamy and smooth. ABV well hidden. Medium bodied and well carbonated. Mostly pineapple at the finish.
O: Another excellent NEDIPA from New Trail. Strong release.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is murky, hazy straw gold, head is off white with fine bubbles and presents 1 finger thick then dissipates to a solid thin top with some spot remnants on the glass sides.
Smell is subdued mixed tropicals with pineapple, stone fruit, and light orange; malt is not really present. I let this warm up and still had a subdued aroma.
Taste is definitely sweet and one of the more chewy hazy DIPAs from NT - mixed tropicals with pineapple and stone fruit heavy, lighter citrus zest; really thick oat/wheat/maltiness to back up the fruit flavors and hide the ethanol booziness. Really odd herbal/floral character comes through with warmth - difficult to describe but it starts to overtake the flavor as it warms.
Mouthfeel is very low carbonation, very thick/full sweetness/chewiness, limited bitterness, some drying from the booziness.
Overall a thick, chewy, hazy dipa with a dominant tropical character and herbal/floral component that pushes through and remains the dominant flavor.

Very juicy NEIPA..getting lychee gummies and mango and some bitterness. I like NT NEIPAs cause they are not over sweet

Undated (WTF) can into pint glass. Pours a murky gold with a brief off-white head. Great lacing. Initial impression is juicy pineapple, orange, mango, and tropical fruits. Slightly sweet, but just enough to balance. Mouthfeel is soft and pillow-y. Finish is smooth with almost no residual bitterness. Overall, another very enjoyable DIPA from New Trail. They keep cranking them out.
