Bold, smooth, silky. I love it. Coffee and chocolate and bourbon and vanilla notes. Pours super dark, tastes delicious. I'd rather have this for dessert than a slice of cake.

Poured into small chalice: color is solid black, head is just a ring on the glass and dark tan, no top, no lacing.
Smell is a little hot, but then roast, chocolate, coffee more of medium roast, light sweet fruitiness and bourbon/oak/light vanilla.
Taste is less hot, roasted and chocolate malt, coffee and pleasant, nuanced roast and bean but bourbon seems to overtake in the finish.
Mouthfeel is light carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness and lingering burn on the tongue.
Overall a nice rendition of the barrel aged moonlit series - coffee is not distracting from the base beer and barrel aging and complimentary.
