Poured into a shaker pint glass: color is straw gold, hazy but not solid/dense, head is frothy and presents 1+ finger thick and leaves a solid top, no lacing.
Smell is subdued with some notes of malt and oats, sweet/candied fruits, light citrus pith.
Taste is similar with mixed malt/oats with a light biscuit flavor, more candied sugar/tropical fruit flavor, not overpowered by any particular flavor but nothing standing out either as enticing; a muddled beer.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate sweetness, lower bitterness, lingering full flavor.
Overall a muddled hazy offering from NT.

Undated (WTF) can into pinr glass. Pours a murky gold with a brief off-white head. Initial impression is citrus rind, tropical fruits, and a slight dankness. Mouthfeel is fairly soft, but cleaner and sharper than New Trail's other NEIPAs. (To be fair, the can says "hazy IPA", not NEIPA.) The slight dankness comes out in the finish. Overall, an OK hazy IPA but not one of NT's best efforts.

A fingers worth of lush off white froth... Modest retention... Color is an opaque hazed flat yellow... Subtle but pleasant nose of lemon zest and earthy hops... Palate is consistent with the nose but the malt base is a bit more pronounced than expected... Medium bodied... Decent enough beer, but a notch below the rest of the New Trail offerings...
