Pours a murky orange with a short white head. The aroma is bright citrus and melon; orange, honeydew, cantaloupe. The flavor is similar. I get notes of cantaloupe and honeydew followed by grapefruit and orange rind. It's medium bodied and pretty easy to drink for 9%.

From a 16oz can dated 01/25/24…nice to see NT dating their cans!!! This is a lovely NE DIPA. Lots of tropical fruit on the nose and palate with a pleasant dankness. The 9.1% abv is well hidden.

Enjoyed this, 1st from brewer, on a storm evening, and it fits the bill.
A) Apricot body hazed - lasting and lacing white top.
S) Citrus, dankness, medicine cabinet, shellac.
T) More fruit adding apricot, grape, more medicine, and a twisty bitter finale.
F) Excellent, tongue feel and body.
O Oats work here.,

Carefully emptying a pint can's contents into a clear Imperial pint glass, it all fit perfectly. Admittedly barley malt deprived, this didn't blow up the ridiculous foam now expected from modern "IPA"s. It"s light apricot-amber, opaque and holds a modest white head on top. Speaking of apricot, there's some of that within the aroma, which is fruity, but neither tropical, nor citrusy. There's a little more citrus aspect to the taste, maybe lemon, maybe grapefruit; but definitely not drupe, berry, nor tropical. The otherwise not noticed 9.1% ABV probably contributes to the mild citrus bite. This may have all the physical appearances of an Imperial NEIPA, but except for the softness of its body, it tastes more like something from the opposite coast. The hops are sharp, clean and a one layered combination of citrus and to a lesser extent, pine. The oats, which can often make a brew heavier and/or sticky don't do that here. Essentially, this is a West Coast taste with a New England body and it works.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a murky medium gold with a persistent off-white head. Good lacing. Initial impression is somewhat sweet mango, citrus, tropical fruits, grapefruit and orange. Mouthfeel is fairly thick. Finish fades to slightly bitter citrus. Overall, another very enjoyable DIPA from New Trail.
