Chocolate Strawberry is an ice cream inspired milk stout, brewed with chocolate, strawberry, & lactose. Layers of dark roasted Germanic malts and oats create a chocolatey, roasty and pillowy body. A bright pop of berries and smooth milk chocolate with the sweetness of lactose round this stout out to a new dessert favorite.

Darker than most. Big chocolaty aroma with berry accent. Milk chocolate flavor is a bit sweet for my taste. The "ice creaminess" adds some interest, but I probably will not be revisiting this one.

Poured into chalice: color is solid black, head is tan with fine bubbles, head presents one finger thick, head dissipates to thing top and ring.

Smell is chocolate and light berry with an off note that might be booziness or the berry fermentation(?).

Taste is chocolate and cough syrup, more note of raspberry or cherry than strawberry; more bitter chocolate on the finish; limited roast comes through.

Mouthfeel light carbonation, moderate sweetness, bitter chocolate and bite from the flavoring addition.

Overall a beer that is tough to drink for me - over bitter chocolate and biting fruit flavor with limited backing stout flavors (i.e. roast and malt).

On draught in a snifter.
Pours up very dark, almost black with a thick dense foam head darker than most dark beers.
Flavor is of cocoa and sweet strawberry, vanilla. Creamy with a residual tang of molasses.
You could pour a couple ounces of this over vanilla ice cream and have a nice dessert.
An enjoyable treat.

Pours black as midnight oil with a mahogany head.

Chocolate, strawberry, ice cream, as advertised with some molasses malt.

Strawberry with dark chocolate and a creamy milkshake mouthfeel. Molasses malt in the back end. This one has big flavor, but not too sweet.

Poured room temp from a can into a 16oz pint glass. Appearance is opaque black, darkest beer I've seen. Two-finger head that is very dark brown that recedes at a medium rate and leaves a tiny ring of bubbles around the rim. Some minor lacing evident.
Aroma is smoky tobacco, strawberries, some hops, dark chocolate.
Taste follows the nose with chocolate, toasted malts, smoke, some faint strawberry. Sticky sweet with some bittering at the back from the dark chocolate notes and maybe some hops buried in there.
Mouthfeel is medium full, dry, plenty of carbonation. Good amount of chew with flavors that lingers. Creamy from the lactose that is evident. Smooth.
Overall this is not a bad dessert brew. A little on the sweet side but there is a good amount of roasty bittering to try and bring it together, but slightly unbalanced still to the sweet side. The chocolate is definitely stronger than the strawberries but that works as any more berry sweetness may ruin this stout. Enjoyable, more than other strawberry infused beers I've had. I like the smokiness that found it's way in there as well.

10 oz pour at Frisco Taphouse in Gambrills, MD. Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Aroma and flavor feature strawberry, sweet vanilla, chocolate, and dark roasted malts. Some earthy hops as well. It's sweet but not cloying, and definitely beer. Smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Quite drinkable for a pastry stout. Solid!

I'm a lactose lover so I inflate anything with lactose. This is smooth and creamy, you could add ice cream for the ideal ice cream float. It's a one and done beer - too rich, sweet and creamy with a s-load of calories for more than one. But, that's a feature for me since it's a rather pricey beer.

Pours black with a reddish tinge as the head forms. The head is fizzy, reddish white, and fades quickly almost like cola. The nose is very much like chocolate strawberry ice cream with hint of cola. The flavor is similar. The chocolate is most present with some underlying roast and cola. The strawberry is subtle but noticeable. The cola presence is also there. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and well carbed.

This is like a lot of the NT stouts I've had. The head is fizzy, there is too much of a cola presence throughout, it's not rich or full bodied enough, and it relies heavily on adjuncts to get it therem

This came recommended by Christina and it didn’t disappoint. Thanks CMO!
