Pours a slightly pale amber with ample white head that leaves trails of lace.

Fruity, piney, and floral. It has a very nice and delicate bouquet. Pine, raspberry, and citrus.

Taste follows nose with a nice balance.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 2/13/24, so 3 months old.

Faintly hazy pale golden body. Small white head still manages to leaves a layer of lacing. Aroma is a surprisingly nice peach. On tasting, smooth, light, slightly sweet, non citrus fruit. Mouth above medium, finish lightly drying.

Overall, interesting drink. 2 months ago, likely the pine was more prominent. But as it is, a very enjoyable light fruity pale ale.

From the NT Instagram description: “Between The Pines is a modern rendition of the classic clear pale ale. Straw yellow and brilliantly clear with slight roasted caramel malt character. Amarillo, Crystal, and Simcoe hops build deep orange and light pine notes. Take a walk between the pines and enjoy this pale ale inspired by them.” Lightly floral and piney on the nose and palate. Nice, non-hazy pale ale.

Can dated(!!!) 2/13/24 into pint glass. (That's remarkable in that New Trail has steadfastly refused to provide any indication of the age of their product. Hopefully they will continue to date stamp their beer.) Pours a slightly hazy light gold with a thin but persistent off-white head. Good lacing. Initial impression is pine, citrus, and a bit of spiciness. Mouthfeel is clean and refreshing. Finish fades to pine resin and citrus. Overall, a great take on an "old school" IPA. Excellent.

Pours a crystal clear golden amber with a soft white cap of foam. A classic look. The nose faint with hints of malt and pine. The flavor profile reminds me of an old school APA. Hints of caramel malt, lots of pine, minerally, some earthiness. There's a faint citrus note on the finish that lingers on the tongue. For as piney as this is there's not a big bitterness. It's medium bodied and very easy to drink.

I like the classic appearance and flavor. A good, quaffable beer with plenty of flavor and a manageable ABV.

Bright, clear gold. Fresh aroma. Lots of flavor at 5.5%. Dig the German malts. And super drinkable.
