Troutbitten is a collaborative Hazy IPA resulting from years of friendship and fishing camaraderie with the team at Troutbitten. This Hazy IPA is brewed with oats and wheats for a buoyant, full body. Dry dropped with Citra, Mosaic, Talus, Centennial and Simcoe, Troutbitten presents with a grapefruit aroma. The hop character is overflowing with stone fruit, drifting sticky pine, and rising tropicals. Troutbitten will be your guide out on the water and on the banks with friends after a long day.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet, color is murky straw and pretty dense, head presents one finger thick and then dissipates to frothy top with some spotty lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is subdued, some mixed hop character typical for NT - citric, pithy, light pineapple, light malt and and oat/wheat.
Taste is more muddled citrusy/stone and wheat/oat flavors ... typical of style and NT brews at this strength.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate hops.
Overall mixed and muddled HIPA from NT - want more bitterness or less sweet malt, or really just more non-hazy ipas.

Can dated 6/17/24 into pint glass. Pours a hazy light honey/straw color with a brief off-white head. Not much lacing. Initial impression is orange, mango, and a bit of grapefruit. Mouthfeel is kind of thin and not particularly soft. Finish fades to a slightly bitter citrus. Not one of NT's better efforts.

Wanted to like this one so much more. Its a decent hazy, but too me underflavored and not on the league of most New Trail Hazies which are top shelf. I look fwd to their next hazy release, this one fell s bit short by their ultra-high standards.
