Steep Climb is a botanical Hazy IPA packed with a floral and tropical oolong tea blend we found on a recent trek. Steeped with Oolong tea, Hibiscus, Mango, Pineapple, and Nectarine, then dry hopped with Nectaron, Citra, and Nelson Sauvin. Steep Climb is a mountain of hazy, sunny, and juicy highs with balancing florals and earthy tea character.

Canned on 7/11/24 so not its freshest. Seemed subdued in both the nose and palate with dull finish. Other New Trail hazy IPAs are generally more appealing than this brew. Maybe it’s the oolong tea flavors that throw this off for me.

Smells awful...a bit like refined oil. After a few sips...you catch a bit of a buzz...so cares.

Can dated 7/11/24 into pint glass. Pours a hazy brassy color with maybe a pink tinge. Initial impression is juicy mango, florals, pineapple, watermelon, and pink grapefruit. Mouthfeel is soft and juicy. Finish fades to a slightly sweet citrus. A departure from New Trail's typical NEIPA< but pretty good nonetheless.
