Our Maibock is a traditionally brewed rendition of the style. A layering of Pilsner, light Munich, and Vienna malts lead the profile with a rich flavor of European influence. Medium bodied and pale with a light toasty quality. Tettnang hops provide a delicate background noble hop spiciness.

Deep gold, moderate haze. Restrained toasted malt aroma with a touch of caramel and some background hops. Flavorful semisweet malty flavor that finishes mostly dry. Excellent drinkability for a bock beer, but lacking the depth of flavor of the best German versions.

A pour which emptied the entire contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug revealed a liquid that's a little less darkly colored than expected from this style. Beneath a generous just-off-white head rests a brew brightly and lightly copper-amber in color and it's rather translucent. There's some maltiness for the nose, but less than expected from a Maibock. But, there's an acceptable amount of malt to taste, without it becoming overly sweet, nor heavy, to make this work. It may be on the lighter side for this category, but everything is in good balance and pleasant in its presence. Even if this isn't the most flavorful Maibock available, it certainly is enjoyable.

Good Maibock, drinkable but with some malty, bready and copper depth. Would just like hint more of this taste depth at the sacrifice of a tad of drinkability.

Canned on: 3-25-25

A - Dark medium gold with perfect clarity and a dense, bright white layer of foam resting on top, carbonation is light.

S - Biscuity malt with light, earthy hops with a touch of spiciness.

T - Biscuity and toasty caramel malt with light earthy spiciness, some herbal presence, just a little hint of tropical fruit, and a delicate pine bitterness (barely).

M - Big medium body with prickly carbonation fighting through the liquid.

O - Nicely done and goes down easy.

Slightly more than a fingers worth of crisp off white / light khaki colored froth... Solid retention... Color is a deep rich copper... A moderate bit of carbonation rises throughout... Fairly subdued malt forward nose of rich sweet bread and toffee... A faint noble hop presence lingers beneath the surface... Palate mirrors the nose but is much more robust and pronounced... Decent depth and complexity... Feel is medium, somewhat dense and loaded with brisk carbonation... Smooth and consistent sip after sip... Very nice beer and excellent representation of an underrepresented style...

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 3/25/25, so 4 weeks old

Magnificent looking beer. Crystal clear golden yellow body with streams of carbonation. Bright white head leaves a spider web of lacing. Aroma is pilsner malt with a odd perfume note. This does not carry over to the taste, which is a strong slightly sweet caramel malt. Finish is clean with a nice bitter hop ending, which is short lived.

Overall, nice American brewed Maibock, happy to have another 3 to enjoy.

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is straw gold, clear, head is off white with fine bubbles, head presents one finger thick then dissipates to thin top with lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is light with clean pilsner and grape nuts, limited hops.

Taste is clean pilsner with lighter vienna and munich characteristics with subtle grape nut flavor, hops are grass and light lemon citrus.

Mouthfeel is crisp moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low/moderate bitterness.

Overall a very good maibock - well constructed malt flavor and moderate hop character.

Pours a beautiful amber with an off white head that leaves some nice lacing.

Fresh mown grass with a nice toasted malt and some bitter herb with a light hit of citrus.

Taste follows nose with nice balance and complexity.
