7th Orbit is our Anniversary Hazy Triple IPA commemorating our 7th Orbit around the sun. We found new Elani hops that present with pineapple, guava, lime, white peach, & orange zest. 7th Orbit combines Elani with Citra, Krush, and Simcoe and is the culmination of our IPA thus far, A huge Thank You to the friends we've made along the way.

Pours a hazy orange with a good sized white head that lingers far longer than I expected.

The aroma brings forth tropical fruit such as clementines, guava, and mango.

The flavor is lightly fruity, primarily of clementines and tangerines with a hint of lemon zest, with a pleasant, subtle sweetness. The fruit notes are more subtle than I expected, which works well to invite you back for another sip.

The mouthfeel is rich and creamy, with the alcohol surprisingly well hidden.

Overall this is a really good, really well balanced NE IPA. I feel like New Trail have been producing really great NE IPAs, and this is one of their best.

Poured into a Level Belgian-style tulip

P pours a cloudy orange color; 1f white head; fairly heavy lace left behind
N med to med bold nose of ripe stone fruit and tropical notes; inviting
T hearty biscuity malt carries navel orange, apricot, stone fruit, and tropical notes, dashed with a touch of milk sugar; a touch of hop burn in the aftertaste at first, but then gives way to sweet juiciness; delicious
Mf med-full to full bodied; med carb, verging on med-high; supports profile nicely, but also adds good drinkability for style
O an excellent Triple IPA and another winner from New Trail- thanks again, J!

The first impression is how easily a pint can's contents were emptied entirely into a clear glass liter mug. Even at room temperature, there was no massive stark white foam produced by the pour. Perhaps this isn't entirely worted using only oats and wheat. There's now a lightly colored copper-amber liquid on display, with a modest and enduring off-white head on top. Its aroma is mostly of piney hops, with some tropical fruit nuances. It tastes sweet, much more like tropical fruits than piney and there's not much bite to the hops. There's not much complexity to the backbone, other than a shallow sweetness which dominates the overall taste. The mouthfeel is good for the amount of alcohol this delivers, but its lack of distracting tastes emphasizes the alcohol. There was scant glass lacing, common for anything with an ABV at this level. Since the alcohol burn dominates the taste and the way this goes down, this is an unpleasant, but not so tasty way to get a beer buzz with one pint.

Poured into large goblet: color is hazy, opaque straw gold, head is off white to bright white with fine bubbles and froth that presents 2 fingers thick, head lingers well with solid top and a lot of lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is mixed pith, stone fruit, citrus, light pineapple, malt and oats, bread and yeast, hint of ethanol.

Taste is more pithiness, stone fruit, citrus, pineapple, light cake like fullness with malt and oats and wheat, yeast, and light ethanol.

Mouthfeel is lower carbonation, moderate sweetness, lower bitterness (for the style), some booziness and bite on the finish.

Overall a big TIPA but not overdone on hop notes or sweetness or booziness. it is tough to drink a full can straight through as it gets cloying with warmth.

Canned 4/16/25. Pours an amber-orange with moderate haze. Very nice nose of tropical fruit. Similar palate with nice bitterness and dank flavor, but too much heat for me from the understandably high abv.

Standard haze. Fresh juicy aroma. Nice tropical/citrusy mix, with pineapple most well defined. Each sip is rich, complex, with hints of sweet malt. Inviting, soft body. Just a trace of ethanol burn. Still one of the better beers at this weight. Here's to Orbit #8.

Pours a hazy pale amber leaning towards yellow/orange with a white head that leaves some nice lace.

Pine, mango, orange, star fruit , and floral hops with earthy malts.

Taste follows nose with nice complexity. A nice interplay between the hops and a scotch malt backbone.

Two fingers worth of lush late to develop fluffy light khaki colored frothy goodness comprised of medium to large chunky bubbles... Stellar retention... Gobs of lacing cling to the sides of the glass... Color is a moderately hazed lemony yellow gold... Big citrus nose... Tropical fruits and citrus sit atop a wheaty base... Perhaps some light lemon zest as well... A completely different experience on the palate... Candied sugars and a strong booziness join the party... All the other notes are present and ebb and flow... Oozes with depth and complexity in the best of ways... Feel bodied, sleek and slightly sticky and resinous... A beer worthy of NTs 7th birthday...

Can dated 4/16/25 into pint glass. Pours a very hazy medium honey-gold color with a modest off-white head. Great lacing. Initial impression is pineapple and orange. Mouthfeel is thick, smooth and soft. Finish fades to slight citrus bitterness. Excellent.

Canned on: 4-16-25

A - Pours an opaque medium dirty gold color with very dense, frothy lacing that sticks to the sides of the glass.

S - Big juicy / fruity aroma with a wall of pineapple being most dominant, followed with peach, some lime, spicy citrus rind, grapefruit, and mango.

T - A big wall of citrus and tropical fruit dominates from start to finish. Big on the flavor with pineapple, sweet grapefruit, peach, lime, and mango while ending with some spicy, resiny pine bitterness. Once things settle down after the sip some of the sweet malt starts to poke through (but just a little bit).

M - Big, soft, and chewy with some definite alcohol presence warming in the back of the throat.

O - I've enjoyed previous Anniversary beers from New Trail and they do a solid job with their T-IPA's. Big, bold, and beautiful, a recommended try and Happy 7th Anniversary New Trail!
