Christmas gift and needed one after the day: color is solid black, head is tan after initial pour but dissipates to nothing, no head, no lacing.
Smell is mixed bourbon barrel, vanilla, oak, whiskey, some roast, light cocoa.
Taste is more bourbon barrel - whiskey, oak, vanilla, roasted malt, some cocoa, great stout base to age on barrel.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate sweetness, low bitterness but some drying with strength.
Overall a big brew with solid stout base to back - hard to distinguish individual barrels but dominant bourbon barrel aging provides most flavor.
