Cola black with a tall head of tan spongy foam.
Lovely pine and tobacco combine in this roasty but not overly aggressive or bitter black beer. Additional hints of orange peel counter just enough malt you'd want for the ABV.
While fluid in the middle, Its airy, fluffy carbonation encourages immense chuggability in concert with its well balanced nature.

Poured into a narrow imperial pint glass: color is black, head is light tan with fine bubbles, head presents one finger thick, head then dissipates to thin top, lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is big roast, clean base malt, earthy hops.
Taste is more roast, light base malt, hints of cocoa and earth, light grass hops - super flavorful for abv.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, low/moderate sweetness, low bitterness.
Overall a full flavored dark lager at the lighter end of the strength range - should have tried it on tap during 8th Orbit.
