Tap pour at the tap room/brewery. Served chilled in a goblet type glass.
Dark brown to black colored body. Tan head, which sticks around as a clinging ring and thin cap. Leaves behind partial sheets of lacing.
Aroma of chocolate malt and pine resin.
Taste begins with sweeter chocolate malt and then is joined by the bitter pine resin. Pine and dark chocolate linger together in the aftertaste.
More than medium mouthfeel. Tight and clean finish. Very good carbonation.
Fits within the style but could use more expression of citrus.
