We believe that brewing beer is the ultimate combination of art and science. On one hand, the art puts consideration into making beer that appeals to all 5 senses and leaves it open to interpretation and personal preferences. On the other, the chemistry of the sugars, enzymes, alpha acids, minerals and countless other components must be strategically utilized to create that balance we are looking for as beer drinkers.
Our brewery will utilize the best of both worlds to create a variety of well-balanced beers. We know that beer is a very personal thing and that everybody has their own tastes. With that in mind, our philosophy is to create a wide variety of beers that appeal to all beer drinkers with a well-balance approach to our recipes.

Metallic box of a place, high ceilings and lots of windows and lots of tv screens giving the place a sports bar feel. Lot of parking in surrounding lots.
Outdoor patio available for when the weather is right, as it was when I visited.
About a dozen on tap, plus beer in cans to go. Tasty NEIPA is always appreciated
Close to a mess of sporting fields, lots of kids and parents enjoying some postgame chow.
There is a separate food operation serving up burgers and such, lots of chicken strips and fries is what I saw people munching.
Decent place for a burger with the family, the game with the guys and better than decent brews. Not a romantic place for a dateā¦just sayin

Sheet metal building built just for the brewery. Adjoining parking lot. Large open space with high ceilings and beams. Clear view of the brewing equipment. Long bar with high chairs on one side and a row of high tables on the front side, with big windows on these two sides. Other seating is at community tables with benches and chairs. Concrete floor. Several TVs showing sports. Twenty plus taps offering beer, cider, seltzer, and a variety of NA drinks. Beer fits into standard styles, with one barrel aged stout. Cordial and informative staff. There is a kitchen on site (Tipsy Steer) with "Local Sassy Brew Food". Serves a local crowd and those that are attending the nearby soccer fields complex.

I think the delicious food from Tipsy Steer is the real draw for visiting this place, but the beer selection is plentiful and varied, with a range of classic brews to more experimental stuff that should please pretty much anybody. It can be a bit noisy and crowded, and the seating is mostly communal-style tables. It's family-friendly (whether that's a good thing or bad thing is up to you!) and I like that they have a couple of free electric car chargers to make the drive worth it!

I went there for the first time on August 10th, 2019.
They have plenty of seating there. There's also food served there via the restaurant portion (The Tipsy Steer) of the place. I was very impressed with the pizza I had.
They had quite a few beers on tap. I just had one, Hazy Crazy IPAzy. It was perfect for the style and well made. I didn't do a review of it at the time.
I was happy with the place, and will make a return visit.

Invictus was the last stop made by our group on an abbreviated beer tour, and while the beer was nothing special, the food selection here is quite good. The day we stopped in, I think there were something like 13 beers on tap, and I found the sow, stout and a west coast style IPA to be pretty decent. Everything else was pretty pedestrian, frankly. Nothing was bad I thought, but I didn't try a beer here I would go out of my way to try to find.
The location struck me as a bit odd. It's a very large facility with high ceilings and a lot of glass. Vibe is very informal, and we had a good time ordering a bunch of appetizers and snacks, which we washed down with a couple of sampler trays. I should add that this is another place where you order your beer and food at the bar/cash register (there's no table service).
Shrug. I'd come here again for the food, not the beer.

These guys have a great location, north of the downtown twin cities area just enough. I love that they have a separate restaurant attached with great and not too expensive food options. Also had the BEST Amber that I've had in a long time, hope if and when these guys start CANNING that the amber ale is their flagship, either that or the oatmeal pale ale. Both are SPOT ON DELISH!
