650ml bottle - a 'spiced brown ale'.

This beer pours a clear, bright medium copper amber colour, with two fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat bubbly tan head, which leaves some stellar boiling cauldron profile lace around the glass as it slowly and evenly subsides.

It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, fairly pungent cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg spice, some earthy nuttiness, hints of cocoa powder and cafe-au-lait, and some ethereal leafy, musty, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy cereal malt, a mixed bag of seasonal spices (cinnamon probably the most prominent), bittersweet chocolate, fancy coffee, oily bar-top nuts, and more well-understated earthy, musty, and dead floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly tame in its palate-boring frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and mostly smooth, with just a touch of spice astringency maybe not playing nice with the neighbourhood kids here. It finishes trending dry, the malt ceding more floor to the spices in the lingering state.

Overall - this could just as well be called a Winter Warmer, or hell, Christmas Ale, because the seasonal spices are not shy, no-sirree Bob! Full of flavour, and ya might want to pair this with some sort of holiday confection, get a bit more sweetness in there, IMHO.
