22 oz bottle from the taproom.
Dark reddish amber pour - leaning to tawny; scant light beige head.
Malty on the nose - toffee, caramel, with herbal, earthy hoppiness and rye spiciness - a tiny hint of solvent perhaps though not persistent.
Taste caramel malt, rye notes, but overtaken by hoppy bitterness - pine, hints of coffee balance the malt.
Full mouthfeel - creamy bitterness lingers with the malty sweetness. Beyond that passing whiff of solvent, excellent.
