Canned on 7/20/21; consumed on 8/7/21
Pours an opaque, golden-orange body capped with multiple fingers of fluffy, soapy, white foam; excellent head retention yields a rocky finger of cap over the surface along with an expansive, frothy collar, while veils of wavy, paper-thin lacing cake the walls of of the glass almost entirely.
Aroma brings mushy guava and mango peel upfront, a tropical foundation for underripe lychee and hints of white grape must developing to a fruity dankness sporting zesty bits of lime intermittently.
Taste offers sweet peach and mango with an edging of grassy hop undertones; white grape comes through just past the mid-palate, while yeasty banana, earthy moss, and lime zest bring effective contrasts to a largely cohesive back end.
Mouthfeel shows a medium body and moderate carbonation dispersing with a fluffy dryness, presenting a quiet grit over the mid-palate into subdued bitterness on the back end; a twang of mild hop acidity aids a juicy burst through the finish.
Presenting a riper pungency and more forward bitterness than Tox's more fruit profile-forward NEIPAs, this holds enough consistency to sit comfortably alongside them as another understated, well-executed take on the style.

A: The beer is rather hazy and a bit pale yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high frothy white head that died down, leaving lots of lacing down the sides of the glass, a narrow collar around the edge, and a small patch of bubbles on the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of peaches are present in the nose along with hints of piney hops.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the piney hops are more subdued and there are notes of mangos.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA has a variety of flavors going on in the taste and does a rather good job at masking the alcohol from the taste.
Serving type: can
