12 ounce can - Charlie's Beer & Wine in Marietta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a hazy, orange-gold body with an inch of steadily receding, loose, white froth.
Smell: Sweet-scented nose, smelling a bit of candy or syrup. Light citrus, some stone fruits and soft spices. A sort of camphoreous touch in the background of the aroma.
Taste: GFA has a fairly sweet start, it's candyish and giving a flavor of hard spiced honey candies. Malted wheat with a citrus taste leaning a bit orangey. Splash of canned fruit syrup. Camphor, minty phenolics. Sweetish, spicy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Had hoped for something bright, light and refreshing. Instead, it's ham-fisted, overly sweet and lacking the always appreciated refinement of better examples.
