500 ml wax capped bottle, July 2020 release. Heard this was aged in 15 year Pappy barrels but I'm not sure if that's true or not. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a very dark brown color with about a half inch tan head that didn't stick around for too long. Not much lacing. I like the aroma a lot, the brew smells like bourbon, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, raisins and oak. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some earthiness, and burnt/charred flavors too. Think the aroma is sweeter compared to the taste. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's smooth and a bit coating with a low/moderate amount of carbonation, probably closer to low. A bit boozy, but not too bad. I thought this was a pretty good barrel aged wheatwine, glad I ordered it when I did because it sold out quick!
