Dark foggy brown, but clearer and lighter at the edges, with a fairly thin but creamy tan head that rolls up around the ridge.

Holy cow, that's really chocolatey for also being so dry, earthy and leafy. Hints of coffee and roasted nuts join in the full airy body that disappears into a paper dry finish.

It's really expressive for how light it is, while avoiding the astringency some in this style tend to have.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Happy New Years Dude!
This solid mild pours a medium dark mahogany with a moderate head of khaki foam
that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some light lacing. Nose of
dark breaded malts, toasted malts, subtle coffee, and light dark chocolate. Flavors
could win against many of the English ales I have had over the years with a fine
presentation of dark breaded malts, crust, subtle toffee, light coffee, a touch of
chocolate, and some earthy malt touches. Mouth feel is as English as English can
get with light soft carbonation, medium light teetering on light body, smooth,
and finishing medium dry.

Overall, I am a sucker for a good mild and this is a mild done right.

Cheers

16 ounce can, canned on 10/10/22, label says 4% ABV. Purchased at the brewery last weekend. Served in a Dayton Ale Trail pint glass, the beer pours a dark brown color with a reddish tinge and about an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like toffee, toasted malt, dark bread and earthiness. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some nuttiness and a bit of chocolate flavor noticeable too. Nice overall malty tasting mild! Mouthfeel/body is light, it's smooth and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this when I had it on tap at the brewery the other day, and only bought a 4-pack to take home. Wish I would have got more since it's hard to find good mild ales around here!
