From the 500 ml bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74---cheers for this one!
This mighty desert brew pours a deep coal black with a light head of khaki foam
that settles to a thin ring with faint lacing. Nose of dark chocolate, dark coffee,
rich vanilla cream, deep roasted malts, faint char, and rich whiskey notes. Flavors
follow the nose with spicy rye whiskey, oak, dark bakers cocoa, dark coffee, and
vanilla cream with touches of char and brulee amongst some dark fruit elements.
Nice mouth feel; full slick body, smooth, rich, coating, low carbonation, and a bitter
malt and sweet whiskey finish that is moderately dry.

Of note, with warmth comes some rich tobacco notes and earthy tones---quite nice!

Overall, an excellent desert brew!

Cheers

500 ml silver wax capped bottle, 2020 vintage, released on 11/25/2020. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that didn't stay around for too long. There's also a small amount of lacing. Aroma is nice and mostly sweet, the brew smells like vanilla, rye whiskey, oak, chocolate fudge and roasted malt. I think the taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, but there's also some cream, earthy and dark bready flavors noticeable too. Starts off sweet, but barrel and roasty flavors kick in a little more as it warms but it's still a sweeter tasting brew. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and has a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew a lot, certainly worth picking up if you come across some!
