750 ml crowler, filled 2/2/21. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a dark brown color with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good enough. Really like the aroma on this, it's mostly sweet and smells like caramel, toffee, raisins, oak, dark fruit and earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some booze, earthy hop and a bit of bready malt flavor noticeable too. Not quite as sweet as the aroma would make it seem, but it's good tasting. Sweet, earthy and boozy! Mouthfeel/body is full, it's a bit slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good barleywine, glad I ordered it when I had the chance. Hoping it will be brought back in the future. $10 a crowler.
